On the morning of February 18th, we set off towards the city of Anuradhapura . This journey was special because only our family members participated in it, going with great devotion. Since we started early in the morning, we were able to reach Anuradhapura without delay.
First, we went to the Ruwanwelisaya. I bought flowers with both hands filled to offer there💗🎕. While at Ruwanwelisaya , everyone expressed their wishes and hopes. As for me, I prayed for happiness in my heart, for the good health of my parents, and for guidance to develop good thoughts within myself. I carefully observed the calm environment and the religious rituals performed by the people. It was a time filled with mental freedom and inner peace. Many people participated in the Kapruk Pooja that we held together as a family💛
After that, we visited Jetavanaramaya, Abhayagiri Vihara, Katu saya, and Kala Wewa as well.
Afterwards, we decided to return home. Anuradhapura is not only an archaeological site but also a place that brings peace and comfort. Through this journey, I was able to gain not only knowledge about history, religion, and culture, but also a sense of mental happiness.
